Alton Irving Lovell, 87 passed away December 6, 2024, at Augusta General Hospital, Augusta, Maine. He was born in Weymouth, MA on December 21,1936, the son of Ralph Irving Lovell and Dorothy Bray Lovell.

Alton attended Hanover High School in Hanover, MA and later worked for the Hanover Police Dept. 1957 -1965.He lived in Hanover, MA for 29 yrs.

Later Alton moved to Stow, ME. where he worked as a Track Supervisor at the Fryeburg Fair for 35 yrs. He also lived in Cape Cod, MA. before, he lived with his brother and sister-in-law in Sydney, ME.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years Nancy Mitchell Lovell.

He is survived by his brother Richard Alan Lovell and his wife Judith Mackay Lovell, niece Lisa Lovell Strout, nephew Phillip Mackay Lovell.

There will be a graveside service in the spring that will be announced at a later date.
