CLINTON– Amy M. Belmont 55, passed away Saturday August 22, 2026, at Maine Medical Center surrounded by her family after a 3-month long battle with a severe case of acute pancreatitis.

Amy was born on February 10, 1971, in Houlton Maine to Jeffrey and Anita Hubert. She grew up in Littleton, Maine and attended Houlton High School. She went on to get her bachelor’s degree in business at St. Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine. Out of college, she was employed by Kris-Way Truck Leasing, now referred to as Penske Truck Leasing, where she worked as an operations/administrative assistant for 34 years.

She married George Belmont on July 27, 1996. Together they bought a house in Clinton, Maine where they raised their family.

Amy enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. She loved to garden and do crafts, some of which were sewing, quilting and scrapbooking. Two of her favorite places to go were the beach and her family camp on Moosehead Lake. She had recently developed a love for playing pickle ball with her friends. Amy was always ready for new adventures.

Amy is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, George; their children, Megan and Wyatt; her parents, Jeffrey and Anita; her brother Paul; her sister Heather, and their families; along with many other treasured friends and family.

We would like to thank the kind staff who cared for Amy at Maine Medical Center during her illness. We are grateful for the care they provided for her and her family.

A celebration of life will be held on November 14th, 2026, at 12:00pm at Jeff’s Catering in Brewer, ME.
