WINSLOW -- Annette Theresa (Rodrigue) Gagne, 85, passed away on April 4, 2013, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Waterville, on Oct. 29, 1927, the daughter of Emile and Leonie (Pellerin) Rodrigue. Annette graduated from Mt. Merci Academy and went on to receive a business degree from Thomas College. She retired from the town of Winslow after 37 years as the comptroller and administrative assistant.

Annette was an active communicant of St. John's Catholic Church in Winslow. She loved to travel, knit, read and do crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.

Annette was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Alfred "Babe" Gagne and by her parents, as well as by two sister in-laws, Carmeline Talbot and Jeannette DesVeaux.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Carolyn Proumen-May, and Penney Gagne; a grandson, Andrew Proumen; two sisters, Aline Poulin and husband Phillip, and Alice Hubert and husband Ernest; two brothers, George Rodrigue and wife Jeannette, and Lucien Rodrigue and wife Lydia; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Juliette Veilleux, Marjorie Cacioppo, and husband Dino, and Anita Farrell; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held at Veilleux Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. John's Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, with burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. All family and friends are invited to a reception celebrating her life following the services.
