Byron N. Prosser Sr. 95 passed away peacefully on Sunday August 30, 2026. He was born on April 5, 1931 in Portage Lake, Maine to Zeph Prosser and Gertrude Fenderson Prosser.

Byron served in the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1969 and his service included two combats tours during the Koren War. After his service he built a career in aviation as both an FAA authorized maintenance inspector and a commercial pilot.

Byron was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Ruth Essex Prosser and his youngest Keith Allen Prosser. He is survived by his son Byron Prosser Jr. and his wife Zoeann, his son Rodney Prosser and wife Barbara and his daughter Dorothy Small, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Byron was a long-term resident of Albion, Maine and was a member of the Albion Christian Church where services will be held on September 12, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Byron’s name.
