Obituary

In Loving Memory of Carol Ann Pratt March 3, 1948 – September 28, 2025 Carol Ann Pratt, 77, of Fairfield, Maine, passed away unexpectedly on September 28, 2025. Born on March 3, 1948, to Omer and Theresa (Charrier) Thibodeau, Carol lived a life defined by kindness, grit, and deep devotion to her family — both two-legged and four-legged. A woman of quiet strength and enduring love, Carol was a breast cancer survivor and one of the toughest women you'd ever meet. She worked in the food service industry for over 30 years, many of those spent at Burger King, where her quick wit and work ethic made her both a beloved coworker and a customer favorite. If you ever had it your way, you probably had Carol to thank. Carol's joys in life were simple and sincere — a good book, a solid bowling score, the roar of a racecar on TV, and most of all, time spent with her family. And of course, we can't forget the queen of the household: her cat, Tinkerbell. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved sister Rachel "Penny," her stepfather Jim Davis, and her best friend of 70 years, Marilynn Nelson — a friendship filled with laughter, love, and stories no one else could quite believe. She is survived by her children, Laurie Pratt, Paula Pratt, Burt Pratt, and Mitchell Pratt and his wife Kimmy; Her grandchildren, Alicia Wheeler and husband Jake, Morgan McLaggan and husband Dylan, Haley Twitchell and partner Joseph Sicotte, Brett Coates and wife Kendra, Emily Coates, Violet Meadows and wife Bunni, Christopher Pratt and fiancé Keyara, and Alexander Pratt; And her adored great-grandchildren, Hudson Wheeler, Michael McLaggan, Charlee McLaggan, Hayden McCaslin, Jameson Coates, and two little ones on the way who will know her through stories, photos, and the love she passed down through generations; her sister Jean Boynton husband Marty; and brother Omer Thibodeau wife Carol; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carol will be remembered for her fierce love, unwavering loyalty, and the gentle strength she carried through life's challenges. She was the heart of her family — the one you called first, the one who always had room at her table (as long as Tinkerbell approved). She was, in every sense, deeply loved — and will be deeply missed.
