Obituary

Christopher James Larsen, 37, of Sidney passed away unexpectedly on May 2nd, 2022. Chris was retired from the Army; he was disabled while serving on active duty in 2011. With a strong desire to serve his community and also his fellow veterans, Chris founded the organization 22 A Day Veterans Lives Matter. The mission of his non-profit was, and continues to be, to spread awareness about veteran suicide and homelessness and to give our veterans hope. He served his fellow veterans by providing support in locating and securing housing, offering financial support in times of distress, and offering emotional support to any and all veterans who sought it. Chris was also an avid softball player and coach. His passion for the sport was evident both on and off the field. He was previously a travel coach for girls softball. When he wasn't playing he offered private hitting. Chris is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Sylvio and Candile Guerette and his paternal grandparents Edward and Lorraine Larsen. He is survived by his four beautiful children: Kody, River, Vera, and Bryn; and by his mother Lori Guerrette Prescott, of Northport and his father, Jim Larsen, of Florida, and his brother, Tyler, of Oakland, his brother, Jared, of Rockland. Chris is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
