COCONUT CREEK, FLORIDA--Clyde “Jack” B. Arnold Jr., 65, formerly of Fairfield, Maine, Passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, in Coconut Creek, Florida where he resided. He was born in Waterville, Maine on July 19, 1946, the son of the late Clyde B. Arnold Sr. and Theresa (Gould) Arnold who founded the Arnold Motel in Fairfield, Maine. Jack grew up in Fairfield, Maine, and graduated from Thomas College. He operated the American Motor Inn located in Waterville, Maine for over 20 years. He was also in the harness horse racing business until he moved to Florida in 1989, and became the Personnel Manager for Wackenhut Security. Jack married Mimi Arnold on January 29, 1999; they were best friends and enjoyed many happy years together. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Mimi; his son, Clyde B. Arnold III and his wife, Randi; his step-son, David Radjai; and his granddaughter, Lauren Ashley Arnold, all of Coconut Creek, FL. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 29 at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 30 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 116 Silver St., Waterville, Maine. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Grove St., Waterville, Maine.
