Obituary

Dale Anthony Boyce, born on September 23, 1990, in Waterville, ME, passed away February 4, 2025 at the young age of 34, surrounded by his family and closest friends. Dale was a bright light that had a passion for race cars, hockey, mowing his lawn, working in the lumber yard, helping others- he would always be the first one to show up. Dale was a jack of all trades and could do or fix anything. He had a way of lightening the mood and making others laugh. His cooking skills were second to none and loved a full house and full bellies. He wore many hats and he was successful with all of them. Dale is survived by his wife, Hope Boyce, and his two daughters Alexis and Madeline Boyce (of Sidney, ME). He is also survived by his parents Rodney and Denise Alderman (Sidney, ME) and David and Samantha Boyce (Benton, ME) His siblings, Brittany McDaniel and nephew Braxton McDaniel, Braden Alderman, Tarsha Buckle and husband Justin Buckle, Yvonne Spencer and husband Jesse Spencer, Emily Boyce, Travis Boyce and Amy Boyce. He is also survived by his Grandfather Clarence (Pete) Soucy, Grandfather David Boyce Sr, Grandmother Joyce DePalma. Predeceased by his Nana, May Soucy who always held a special place in his heart. Many more aunts, uncles, "nieces and nephews" and amazing friends. Uncle Dale was always a favorite- never allowing a dull moment and always expressing his love for his kids and his other bonus "kids". He was his girls biggest cheerleader, a softball dad, dance dad and always invested in whatever activity his girls were into. We will cherish these memories forever. Among his friends he was always the first to lend a helping hand, the life of the party, the one that "knew it all". His passion for the lumber business radiated from him and it was rare to find him not assisting on one project or another. There are no words to express the huge hole his absence will leave in our lives and our hearts. Services will be February 16th 12:00-2:00pm at Veilleux-Redington- Lawry Brothers, 8 Elm St, Waterville, ME with Celebration "Raise Hell and Remember" to follow at a different location. Please wear your best blue to help celebrate and honor Dale.
