David Martinez, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on August 9, 2026. He was a proud Vietnam veteran, and a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend who brought light and laughter to the lives of everyone who knew him.

David was born on February 2, 1949, in NY, NY. He had 35 years of service with the Department of mental health and addiction services before he retired. David loved his family, pets, his home and was an avid balloon dancer.

He is survived by his wife and devoted partner of 30 years, Lou-Ann; his children Tarra Martinez and Dana Ladyga; his grandchildren Ava, Vinnie and Lincoln; his sisters: Phyllis Harrington and Joanne Martinez; and brother-in-law and sister in-law Sharon and Stephen Farrington.
