Obituary

Waterville: It is with great sadness, the family of Dee Daigneault announce his passing on May 4, 2026. Dee died peacefully in his sleep with his wife by his side. Dee was born in Berea, Ohio on March 2, 1944, to Louise (Beazley) and Llewellyn Daigneault. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Greg Daigneault. Dee was an outstanding athlete in high school and attended Cushing Academy Prep School on a football scholarship. Upon graduation Dee joined the United States Marine Corps. He was proud to be a Marine and serve his country! After working at Scott Paper Company for1 4 years, Dee and Teena married and relocated to Florida where they raised two daughters and resided for 23 years. While in Florida, Dee enjoyed working in the golf business following his father's career path. He had many good friends in Florida and enjoyed life to the fullest. In 2006, Dee brought his family back to Maine where he retired. Dee had a knack for telling a story that would have you on the edge of your seat, listening intently, only to discover it was a joke that would have you rolling on the floor with laughter. Most people that knew him would tell you that he had an amazing sense of humor! Dee had a great attitude and a love for our Heavenly Father, Jesus! Dee would tell you that his greatest joy in life was his four beautiful daughters! Dee will be sadly missed by his wife, Teena (Denis) as well as his daughters Sara (Eli) Poulin, Hayley (Bill) Hartin, Jennifer (Bob) Calabro, Andrea (Jim) Broughton and seven grandchildren, Jewel and Jesse, Bobby, Ben and Sam, and Emily and Caleb. He is also survived by his only sister Vicki (Richard) Oleck. The service for Dee will be May 29, 2026, at 10 am at Corpus Christi Parish, Notre Dame 116 Silver Street Waterville, Maine. A reception will follow in the parish hall for family and friends. There will be a military burial on June 3, 2026, at 1 pm at the Veterans Cemetery in Augusta Maine at the Niche Wall.
