Dominic Reid, 21, of Augusta, passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 20th, 2024. He was born December 24th, 2002, in Lewiston, the son of Rebecca Gayton and James Reid. Dominic attended Augusta schools and graduated from Cony High School in 2021. Dominic worked in the kitchen at Colby College. He was passionate about cooking and had a dream of pursuing culinary arts and becoming a chef. He loved spending time with family, friends, and his dog Odin. His smile lit up any room he entered, he had a huge heart and would do anything for those he cared for. Dominic took pleasure in playing video games, Dungeons and Dragons, and took pride in his collection of Pokémon and Magic the Gathering. Dominic is predeceased by 2 great-grandmothers; Frances Moulton, and Rosa’ Nirza, 2 great grandfathers; Lowell Woodman and Loreto Nirza, an uncle, Derrick Nirza, and a cousin, Patrick Willett. He is survived by his mother Rebecca Gayton and her fiancé Stephen Singleton, his father James Reid, sister Arianna Reid, brother Reise Singleton; grandparents Gail Moulton, Orman Gayton, Scarlett Reid, and James Nirza; great-grandmother Donna Woodman and great-grandfather Harvey Moulton; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. There will be visiting hours from 5-7pm Thursday May 23rd at Veilleux Funeral Home 8 Elm Street Waterville, Maine. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-5pm on Sunday May 26th at the VFW 246 Main St. Fairfield, Maine.
