Dorothy Anthony Carter passed away suddenly but peacefully on March 3rd, 2024. She was 53 years old. Up until the end Dorothy maintained her kind heart, grace, compassion, love of family and friends, and expressed gratitude for her life, full of wonderful and varied experiences. Dorothy spent her early years traveling the United States, living with her father, mother and two brothers. Her father was in the Army and traveling was a way of life for the entire family. In her late teens, Dorothy finally landed in what was going to be her forever home, the State of Maine. Dorothy always knew she wanted to someday raise a family of her own. Dorothy eventually had a child, Wade Carter, which very quickly became the reason for her entire existence. After the birth of Wade, Dorothy would go on to marry her forever husband David Brennan. For those that knew Dorothy, they all will tell you she lived life to the fullest, with no regrets. She was the life of the party and a good friend to many from all over the country. Survived by her doting husband David Brennan; her loving son, Wade Carter; her father Harvey Anthony; her brother Harvey (Blaine) Anthony and his wife Cheryl Anthony. She is also remembered by a symphony of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, aunts and uncles. A celebration of Dorothy's life will take place at Veilleux Funeral Home in Waterville on March 30th from 2 – 4pm.
