Duane was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He and his brother spoke of their many fishing trip adventures. Such as flyfishing Beattie Pond or flyfishing the headwaters of some unknown creek. Hunting was a favorite pastime as well, sometimes just as an excuse to get into the outdoors. He started as a young child in the "valley" and also spent many adult hours in the mountains of Wyoming, looking for mule deer while dodging grizzlies and mountain lions. He spent countless hours snowmobiling with his wife and children and a large group of friends. He also enjoyed camping at their favorite spot in Eustis. Duane enjoyed playing cards with many friends, reading, and exploring the western lands of Wyoming.
