Sidney: Edward Sawlivich 79, died unexpectedly on Friday December 7, 2012 at his home here. He was born in Sidney on November 8, 1933 the son of George and Olga (Kawalski) Sawlivich. Edward helped on the family farm and when he was younger was employed on the Bill Cole Farm. A life long resident of Sidney, Edward has lived with his niece Brenda Sawlivich for the past 16 years. He was very involved in the Muskie Center Day Program where he enjoyed being with the other people there, playing games, doing puzzles and other activities. He was predeceased by 3 brothers Peter, Mitchell, and Victor, and 3 sisters Anna Laurenti, Emily Ferman, and Francis Sitnik. Surviving is a brother Joseph Sawlivich of Sidney, nieces Brenda Salivich, and Linda Marion and husband Rosco, nephew Andy Salivich and wife Sue, great niece Mallory Gatto, and several other nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the St. Francis Cemetery in Waterville . Arrangements are by Wheeler Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Oakland.
