Farmingdale, ME- Frederick W. Honnen, 83, of Farmingdale, ME was taken home to our Lord and Savior Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at his home. He was born in Phiadelphia, PA. on December 28, 1932 the son of the late George B.B. Honnen and Edith Anna Honnen. He graduated high school from Philaidelpha, PA. Fred is survived by his stepson Gary Cooper of Augusta, ME; his daughter Gena Honnen Kilkenny and Erald of Woolwich, ME; his grandchildren Norma Kilkenny of Ohio, Eric Roupe of Woolwich, ME; his great grandchildren Evan, Christina, Alyssa Kilnenny of Ohio, Natalie and Anabelle Roupe of Greene, ME; his brother Lee Honnen and wife Vie of Pennsylvania; his sisters-in-laws Linda Jackson, Alice Hopkins of Vassalboro, ME, Adele Honnen of TN, Shirley Hopkins of Mims, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He is Predeceased by his wife Marian (Brann) Honnen; his brothers George B.B. Honnen Jr, Terry Honnen, Paul A. Honnen all of PA, and Tommy Honnen of TN; his sister Mary A Honnen-Nunes of NJ; and his grandson Timothy L Roupe Jr. (TJ) of Woolwich, ME. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, crafts, theater, square dancing, Windsor Fair and spending his winters in Mims Florida. He will be remembered for his kindness and love of family and friends. Fred proudly served in USAF and was a Korean War Veteran. He was also a part of the Army National Guard. Fred also was a Cab Driver in Philly, worked at GTE Sylvania as a Lab Technician and supervisor where he retired after 29 years. Fred was also a long time member of the Masons and was Past Master of Lodge 72 (127) and a member of the American Legion. In lieu of flowers please donate to a local charity of your choice in Frederick's name. Visiting hours will be held Friday, July 10 from 4-6 p.m. at Lawry Brothers-Gray Chapel, 207 Windsor Neck Road, Windsor, ME. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 11 at 1 p.m. at Lawry Brothers-Gray Chapel followed by a graveside service at Coopers Mill Cemetery, Whitefield, ME.
