Obituary

November 12, 2007 - July 3, 2024 Gentry began his education at Chelsea Elementary School, where he made numerous friends and was loved by his teachers. He received many awards at his 8th-grade graduation. He went on to Erskine Academy where he made many new friends who he cherished very much. He was involved in Key Club and Writing Club and excelled in all his classes. A scholarship will be created in Gentry's name at Erskine Academy for a graduating senior in his class of 2026. He had a great love for all animals, especially cats. His cat Nyx brought him great joy along with the neighborhood cats that would wander over to visit him. His favorite season was summer, he greatly enjoyed being out in the sun and taking bike rides, going for a walk, hanging out with his friends, and swimming. Gentry and his mom frequented China Lake and Lake Saint George. He also enjoyed week-long stays in Old Orchard Beach with his family. He enjoyed his time with the gang at Smithtown Marina, especially spending time on Timmy and Pam's boat. Gentry had a way of brightening everybody's day with a great sense of humor which included many inside jokes with his sister and friends. Gentry loved spending time at the Albert Church Brown Memorial Library in China doing research. His favorite hobby was genealogy. He spent countless hours archiving family photos and researching his ancestors. He often would lend his talent to others and aid them in their research. He enjoyed his trips to Boston and Portland and had future dreams of living in the big city. He had a love for music, he was fond of 70's music and was into vinyl albums. He is survived by his parents, Willard Stuart Jr. of Chelsea and Jessica Stuart of China; his sister Ashley Stuart of Chelsea; his gram Deb Stuart of Farmingdale; his grandparents Roger Levesque and Donna Makowski of China, and Connie and Gerard Roy of Winthrop; numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. He is also survived by numerous friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents Willard Stuart Sr. and Beverly Stoddard. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the celebration of life at 13 Stuart Lane, Farmingdale, Maine on Saturday, August 17, starting at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter.
