Oakland, Maine-- Gerald E. Foster, 69, of Hill Street, died on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at his residence with his wife by his side. He was born in Houlton, ME on January 12, 1946, the son of Elwood Foster and Jackie (Ricker) Foster. Gerald was employed as a long haul trucker, driving from Coast to Coast. His “C-B” handle was “Never Home.” He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Mary Jo Trecartin. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Carol (Carr) Foster; his son, Vaughn L. Foster of Oakland, ME; and his daughter, Keelie Foster and and son-in-law, Scott Morton. He is also survived by his three grandsons, Jonathan Morton, Dustin Foster, and Nathan Morton; his brothers, Tim Foster of Blaine, ME, and Kevin Foster of Monticello, ME; his sister, Debbie Tilley and her husband, Ken of Florida; and some special friends. There will be no public visiting hours or funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held later in the spring.
