Thorndike, Maine- Gerald Ware Fowler II, 46 of Thorndike, Maine, passed away unexpectedly Saturday June 4th, 2022, in his home. Gerald was born in Waterville, Maine, on May 7th, 1976, the son of Stephen G. Fowler and Maxine (Downer) Fowler. Gerald attended Mt. View High School in Thorndike, graduating with the class of 1994. Gerald grew up working in the family business milking cows and hauling logs. Upon graduation, he and his father traveled down to Texas to purchase a new endeavor, the sawmill. Gerald began sawyering logs at the age of 29, building Timber Valley Building Products, a local lumber yard. In 2010, Gerald expanded the business with Timber Frame Solutions, manufacturing timber frame kits. Gerald's nephew, Dustin Fowler, began working with him, learning to saw timbers, and designing blueprints for kits. Gerald was very proud to have Dustin by his side. Gerald was very proud of his family and the Fowler name. His love for his girls, Willow and Iva, was unmeasurable. Dressing up in theme together for Halloween, trips to Portland shopping, ball games, skiing, and spending Friday nights at the Fowler Family Dinner at the homestead were some of their favorite things to do. As the youngest of six boys, Gerald was the "baby" of the family. A common memory spoken of was how Maxine would suit him in the counter at the bank when he was a boy and comb his hair and all the girls would make a fuss of him. Gerald had great love and admiration for both of his parents. Gerald was predeceased by his mother, Maxine Fowler. He is survived by his father, Stephen Fowler of Thorndike; daughters Willow-Mae Fowler and Iva Fern Fowler, of Corinth; brothers, Jeffrey Fowler and his wife Amy Fowler, Perry Fowler, Stephen Fowler Jr., Gary Fowler and his wife Jennifer Fowler, and David Fowler and his wife Angela Fowler, all of Thorndike; and nieces and nephews, Derek Davis, Brandon Fowler, Amanda Fowler, Dustin Fowler, Andrew Fowler, Jordan Fowler, Alexandra Fowler, Macy Fowler, and Garrett Fowler. Funeral Services will be held Saturday June 11th, 2022, at 1:00pm at the Center Thorndike Baptist Church, Fowler Road in Thorndike. Burial will follow at he Center Thorndike Cemetery, and a celebration of life gathering at the Thorndike Town Office following that.
