Gertrude E. Geaghan, 90

Waterville – Gertrude E. Geaghan, 90, of Waterville passed from this life to the next on Monday January 7, 2019. She was born on October 11, 1928 in Waterville, a daughter of Dulcina (Boulette) and Napoleon Bolduc. She graduated from Mount Merici Academy where she was a faithful volunteer for many years. She married Robert J. Geaghan and together they had six children.

Over the years she worked at Butler Department Store and Standard Auto Parts; however, her greatest pleasure was as homemaker generously loving her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time at camp, bird watching, crocheting, travelling with her husband along the Maine coast, the Rangeley area and the Caribbean. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

Gertrude is survived by her six children: Gary Geaghan and his wife Kathleen of Waterville; Robert Joseph Geaghan and his wife Michelle of Waterville; Pauline Langton and her husband Robert of Searsport; Kevin Geaghan and his wife Barbara of Waterville; Maureen Nowlin and her partner Julian Berard of Waterville; Frances Gaudet and her husband Brian of Unity; her grandchildren: Heather Corey, Jennifer McLaughlin, Christopher Geaghan, Tim Nowlin, Basil Stratton, Max Hudson, Kevin Geaghan, Jr., Chelsea Stratton, Samantha Nowlin, Travis Veilleux, Israel Davis, Molly Brown, Julia Badaroco, Eliza Geaghan; her great-grandchildren: Amanda, Elliot, Abby, Holly, Basil, Thomas, Reid, Allison, Silas, Kevin III, Kelian, Riley, Meadow, Riley, Lauralyne, Xavier, Azariyah; as well as a large extended family of nieces and nephews. Gertrude was predeceased by her granddaughter Amber Corey; her brother Lionel Bolduc; her sister Monica Vigue; her brother Fern Bolduc and her sister Bernadette Rancourt.

Visiting hours will be from 12 to 2:30 pm on Saturday January 12, 2019 at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm Street, Waterville. Burial will be private in St Francis Catholic Cemetery.
