Obituary

Waterville-Ida May Veilleux, 82, went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2010. She was born in Winslow on July 3, 1928, the daughter of Omer Fecteau and Fedora (Cabana) Fecteau.

Ida graduated from Winslow High School in 1946. She was employed at Hollingsworth & Whitney in Winslow. She volunteered for 25 years at the Blessed Sacrament Thrift Shop.

She was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Royal in 1973, her sisters Carmen Latulippe in 2006 and Gloria Morrissette in 2008 and nephew James Morrissette in 2010.

Ida is survived by a brother Richard Fecteau and his wife Beverly and also by nephews Paul Morrissette and Bernard Latulippe all of Winslow.

Ida would like to express her heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kevin White, Dr. James Douglas, Eastern Maine Home Care, Elise Hobbs and especially her nurse Diane. The family wishes to thank the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament for all of their prayers and comfort and would also like to give thanks to Lowell & Gail Albury for their weekly calls from the Bahamas.

At Ida’s request, there will be no visiting hours. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 26th, at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church, Elm Street, Waterville. Burial will be at a later date at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Civic Center Drive in Augusta.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm Street, Waterville.
