Obituary

KENNETH DAVID CHASE 1945-2022 Clinton-Kenneth "Ken" "Papa" David Chase, 77 years young, passed away in his sleep on Thursday 27 October 2022 in the comfort of his own home. Ken was born on 15 January 1945 in Waterville. He was the son of Everett and Albina (Belanger) Chase of Shawmut. He attended Clinton Elementary and graduated from Clinton High School, by the skin of his teeth in 1963. Three days after graduating, during the Vietnam Era, he enlisted in the United States Army. For 10 years he worked for Keyes Fibre. Then Maine Yankee, as part of the nuclear clean up-crew and retired from Maine Central Railroad after 30 Years. Ken had many hobbies he did with friends and family such as breaking horses and barrel racing; fishing in both a seaworthy and unseaworthy boat, which usually ended in testing the time for hypothermia to set in, with his nephew Timothy Faulkner; creating some beautiful wood furniture while challenging the safety of power tools; golfing with his childhood friend Sonny Scott. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Everett, and Albina (Belanger) Chase; and his in-laws Arlan and Beatrice (Brooks) Frost. Ken is survived by his wife Sonya (Frost) Chase and two daughters; April and her spouse Ty Kerr and Dawn and her spouse James Scott, three grandsons: Levi Magee and his spouse Melissa, Chase Magee and his partner Brandon, and Drew Chase. He is also survived by his sister Sandra (Chase) and her spouse Bernard Faulkner and his nephews Ken Faulkner and his spouse Ellen and Tim Faulkner and his spouse Lori. He is also survived by Sonya's three siblings, twin brother Blair "Buddy" Frost and his spouse MaryEllen, brother Rolfe Frost and his partner Sue Lucson, and sister Beverly and her spouse Rocky Webster and many nieces and nephews. It was Ken's wish to not have a funeral or memorial service. There was a planned "roast" of Ken which turned into a celebration of life on Saturday 29 of October 2022. The family would like to thank everyone for attending and sharing stories.
