Waterville- Lea Roderick, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 2:15 AM at Mt. St. Joseph’s. She was born in Waterville on February 26, 1928; a daughter of William and Delia Gagne.

She worked at the Wyndotte Woolen Mill for many years. She was also a house keeper and a sitter for many local families.

She was loved by many families besides her own. Known to her grandchildren as Memere Clown; she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her heart and soul and kept her heart young. She will be missed. Lea was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Lionel, brother Auther (Poon) Gagne, sisters; Yvonne Letelien and Cecile Flibbert.

She is survived by her son Alfred Roderick and his wife Linda of Waterville, Daughters; Dell Pomerleau and her husband Mike of Fairfield, Vickie Hughes and her partner Rod Dixon of Waterville, 3 grandchildren, Joe Pomerleau of Oakland, Stacey Roderick of Waterville and Brienne Hughes of Waterville, two great grandchildren Joshua and Samantha Pomerleau, and by her very best friend Pitto, her beautiful cat. She is also survived by a brother Don Gagne of Fairfield and sisters; Annette Therrien of Waterville, Alice Harding of Waterville and Louise Porter of New York and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visiting hours at her request and a private service.

Lea’s family would like to thank ALL the staff at Mt. St. Joseph’s for their exceptional care, kindness and support that they gave our Mom and ourselves. What a wonderful team they are!
