Boothbay Harbor: Margret T. (Wood) Furbush 93. Died Monday May 13, 2013 at the Midcoast Senior Health Care in Brunswick. She was born in Sidney on June 5, 1919 the daughter of Gardner and Nora (Oniel) Taylor. She attended Fairfield Schools, graduating from Lawrence High School. Margret worked as a self employed hair stylist at Margret s Beauty Shoppe in Oakland for over 30 years. She was co-owner of Boatel Boothbay Motel and Marina and she was also a Rental Property Manager. While in Oakland, Margret was active in the Oakland Chapter of the Eastern Star, and attended the Universalist Church. She loved to knit, travel, and take road trips. Margaret enjoyed having her family around her and spent many wonderful hours at family outings. Florida became her second home for many winters. She was predeceased by her first husband Robert D. Woods, her second husband Vernal W. Furbush, her daughter Elaine Brown, sisters, Ethel Carson and Ila Mowsesian, brothers, Russell, Raymond, Earnest, and Harry Taylor. Surviving are a sister Alma Brown, brother, Clyde Taylor and wife Jeannette, daughters, Juanita W. Reynolds and Beverly Paca. Step daughters Arlene Butler, Jane Murphy, Patricia Goodhue, stepsons Norman and Ariel Furbush, 24 grandchildren, Stephen Reynolds, Sharon Smith, Carolyn DiPerri, Pamela Mierop, Carlaine Bovio, Susan Crabbe, Elizabeth Ellis, Charles Faust, Lynn Harrington, Gayle Schafer, Thomas Murphy Jr., Karen Morrice, Karrie Butler, Jayelee Tozier, Andre Furbush, Ann Farrington, Alyssa Tarr, Leanne Stankrewicz, Greg Goodhue, Carrie Richie, Nicole Crosby, Michael Eaton, Kenneth Eaton, Glen Eaton, and Tina Eaton. 20 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Linda Caron, Velma Rodrique, Cynthia Miner, Sharon Taylor, Brian Taylor, Sandra Cushman, Kenneth Grant, Alan Taylor and Roland Taylor, long time friends John and Eleanor Noel. Friends are invited to visit 7-9 Pm Friday May 17 at Wheeler Funeral Home 26 Church Street Oakland www.wheelerfh.com where a funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday. Burial will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Belgrade.
