Obituary

Oakland, ME: Mary E. Miller McAuliffe, 89, passed away peacefully at home with her daughter by her side, on Thursday, September 10, 2015, after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Mary was born in Waterville, ME on January 29, 1926, the oldest child of Alphonse and Freda (Loubier) Pelletier. Mary lived in Pittsfield, ME for many years. After moving to Massachusetts she worked at Putnam Securities in Boston, MA for several years and also managed a condominium building in Wakefield, MA until she retired and moved to Oakland, ME in 1994. Mary was a dedicated volunteer at both Thayer and Seton Hospitals in Waterville, ME, and the Oakland Public Library. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Alonzo W.Miller and Francis F. McAuliffe. Surviving are her daughter, Diana Allard and husband Herbert of Deerfield, NH., grandsons, Erik Re, Joseph Re and wife Stephanie and great grandson Gabriel, Andrew Re and wife Anne all of Massachusetts; son David Miller of Albion, ME, granddaughter Anjelica and husband Wesley Pittman, and great grandchildren Sawyer and Lori Lei Elizabeth; son Michael Miller and grandson Michael Miller, both of Oakland, ME; a sister, Judith Greene, of GA; sister Barbara Loubier and brother Richard Pelletier, both of FL. A graveside service will be held at a later date
