She was born in Junction City, Kansas on August 1,1929, the daughter of Myrtle M. (Baldwin) Miles and Charles C. Miles. She was the youngest of their five children. She married Louis F. Pelletier on March 31, 1950. That was when her life as a Military wife started. They moved around frequently and she lived in several states . She frequently spoke about their trip to Japan as one of her favorites. In 1971, she returned here to reside in Fairfield, Maine with her husband and family. She worked at Pleasant Hill Nursing Home and Klearview Manor, preparing meals for those less fortunate than herself. She was a dedicated soul who took pride in her work and her family and cared about others. Her life was centered around her family and her home. Mary enjoyed shopping, dining out, reading, swimming at the pool, having children around her, and family reunions-big or small. She loved her cheese and chocolates. She had not had the opportunity to graduate High School, so in 1989, she returned to school and obtained her GED from Lawrence High School. Mary was predeceased by her parents, her husband Louis Pelletier, infant daughter Sheryl Lyn, daughter Mary Jo Foster, and son Terry L. Pelletier.
