Mary Emily Veilleux, 83, of Winslow Maine passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13th at Oak Grove Center in Waterville. Mary was born in Waterville, January 1, 1941 daughter of James Gould and Maude (Reynolds) Gould.
She worked for many years in the local woolen mills where she made many friends. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow up and being called Grammie. Mary also liked to cook and bake desserts, doing crossword puzzles and telling jokes to anyone who was around her. She also loved to visit family members in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Nova Scotia.
She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Veilleux, her parents James and Maude Gould; and her brothers Burton Gould, James Gould, Alfred Gould and sister Ida Varney.
She is survived by her son, Todd and his wife Jill Veilleux of Winslow; two grandchildren Jenna and Connor Veilleux of Winslow; her sister-in-laws Ana Gould, and Ellen Gould and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
There will be a small graveside service for family and friends at Saint Francis Cemetery in Waterville at a later date. The family would like to thank all those who cared for Mary at Oak Grove Center and Beacon Hospice.
