Obituary

Michael Coro, 73, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Born in Skowhegan on August 21, 1952, the son of Joseph and Pauline (Hayden) Coro. Michael built a life rooted in love, service, and devotion to others. After sharing 21 years together, he married his husband, Randy Boivin, in 2022—a union that reflected a lifetime of commitment, partnership, and deep affection. Professionally, Michael dedicated many years as an IT Specialist at the Help Desk, serving numerous hospitals with skill, patience, and care. His passion for helping others extended far beyond his career; he also served his community as an EMT and volunteer firefighter, always ready to answer the call when someone was in need. Family was the heart of Michael's world. He was known for bringing everyone together, often around meals he lovingly cooked or baked himself. Michael was the glue that held his family together—the steady rock, the voice of reason, and the one you could call at any hour. He had a gift for saying exactly the right words and for finding solutions, no matter the problem. Michael was predeceased by his parents and by his beloved son, Eric. He is survived by his devoted husband, Randy, who will forever carry Michael's love and spirit with him; his children, Nikki Boisvert and husband Rick, Travis Coro and companion Holly; siblings, Joline and her husband Neal Richards, Rayjean and husband Dan Luce, Sandra Hill and her companion Ralph, Shelly and husband Jeff Willis, Darrell and wife Deanna Coro; four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Visiting hours will take place from 11am to 1pm on January 3rd, 2026 at Veilleux Redington Lawry Brothers Funeral Home 8 Elm Street, Waterville, Maine where a funeral service will follow at 1pm. Michael's kindness, wisdom, and unwavering presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
