Paul F. Campbell, 72, unexpectedly passed away on February 22, 2024, in Largo, Florida. Paul was born on October 24, 1951, in Farmington, Maine, to Leo & Eleanor Campbell. As the fifth child (and only boy), Paul had a childhood filled with love and attention from his parents and four older sisters. He was predeceased by his parents and three of his sisters, Sharon Beatham, Fran Scott, and Pat Volkernick. Paul attended the University of Maine at Farmington, receiving a degree in Elementary Education, and he worked as a fifth-grade teacher at Winslow Elementary School for 40 years. Paul's life was centered around creating positive relationships with people, whether you were in his family, a friend, a student, or someone he just met. A true teacher in both profession and spirit, Paul could always connect with anyone through his memorable laughter and jokes. He worked tirelessly to be a positive role model, often helping his children with sports and extracurricular activities. The outpouring of love from former colleagues, students, and parents is a true testament to the kind of person that Mr. Campbell was. He leaves a legacy of compassion, humor, and community investment that stretches beyond the walls of Winslow Elementary. Paul loved to spend time with the people he loved. He enjoyed traveling to new places with his wife and spending time with his children and grandchildren "upta camp." Whether in Winslow or Largo, Paul could always be found socializing with family and friends, telling stories and jokes, and cementing connections and memories that will last a lifetime and beyond. Paul is survived by his family, who are heartbroken without their rock: wife Muriel Campbell of Winslow; son Ryan and Emma Campbell of Saco and their children Alexis, Leo, and Eleanor; daughter Caryn and Brian Lynch of Biddeford and their children Lena and Zya; sister Marie Lucarelli of Jay, and brother-in-law Lennie Langlais of Winslow.
