Renee Vashon Littlefield ( Nay Nay), 51 of Benton, Maine, Passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 14, 2024. Renee was born in Waterville Maine on May 3, 1973, The daughter of James ( Jungle Jim) and Joanne ( Jo Jo) Vashon. Renee attended Lawrence High School and was in the graduating class of 1991.
On September 14, 2014, she married her love of her life Joel Littlefield, and they shared 10 beautiful years in marriage.
Renee worked for many years as a waitress and as a customer service clerk in many places but most importantly her beloved job at Dows Quick Stop, where she brightened her coworkers and most importantly the customers who loved her bright and joyful presents.
Renee was survived by her husband Joel Littlefield; her son Logan Douglass; stepson Braden Littlefield; her beautiful mother Joanne Vashon; her lovely brother Troy Vashon; her grandmother Joyce Nadeau; a large group of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, more than we can count. Also, her farm family most importantly Chucky and Becky Littlefield. All who Renee loved beyond measure.
Her son Logan was the most important thing to her. She talked about him constantly, she was so proud of the man he was becoming. You can bet that anyone who spoke to her, has heard many kind words and amazing stories of her love for him.
Renee's love for people never went unnoticed; she loved anyone in any walk of life, no matter who you were. Every person who had the joy of spending time with Renee knows how loving, kind and room-warming she was. She would walk in and the smiles that were shared were contagious as was the laughter. She was so strong and hard-working and driven. She was able to make many dreams come true, but getting her car and having it just the way she wanted it was special. She fought for many things, including her health, and many looked up to her for that. One of many words for Renee is strong. She was truly a bright soul and someone you always wanted to be around.
Renee recently found her relationship with God and was going to the local East Benton Christian Church with Pastor Dan McKeen. Sunday church was one thing Renee looked forward to. After a rough year, last year, fighting threw many bumps in the road, the church reached out and dropped off a lovely basket of goodies and an amazing meal. That touched Renee beyond measure and opened her heart to the church community where she met some amazing uplifting people.
For those of you who would like to come to celebrate Renee, please join us in doing so on August 4, 2024, at the East Benton Fiddle Field 270 Richards Road starting at 1:00.
Renee would love to see everyone dancing and smiling as she always would, in the same place with the same DJ where she married her husband.
Sleep with the Angels. In loving memory of Renee Vashon Littlefield.
