Obituary

OAKLAND, MAINE-- Rosanna G. Cordrey, 102, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Oak Grove Center in Waterville, ME, following a long illness. She was born in Oakland, ME on April 2, 1912, the daughter of Frank A. and Cora B. (Frost) Gleason. Rose was educated in Oakland schools, graduating in 1929, with the first class to graduate from Milton Laforest Williams High School. Rose was a resident of the Oakland-Waterville area all of her life. She was employed 40 years by Diamond International Corp, retiring in 1974, as a Cost Clerk. She was married for 63 years to Earle K. Cordrey who passed away on December 29, 1996. She was predeceased by her husband; and 3 brothers, Henry, Millard, and Donald Gleason. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. At her request there will be no visiting hours. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30 in the Chapel at the new Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta, ME. Those who wish may make memorial donations to Muskie Center, 38 Gold Street, Waterville, ME 04901 or to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 3151, Augusta, ME 04330.
