Rose Marie Oliver died unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep on October 8, 2014. The cause of death was heart failure She had lived with a weakened heart for several years. She was born in Orono, ME on August 22, 1930, the daughter of George Morrison and Gladys Thorne. She was adopted at a young age by Ralph and Margaret Bisson of Waterville, owners of the Deorsay Drug store. She was educated at Mount Mercy convent, in the Waterville school system, and at the College of New Rochelle, NY. She married her husband of 63 years in February, 1951 at St. Patrick s Cathedral in New York City. She lived in New York City, Ohio and more recently in California. During her lifetime she was a licensed real estate broker in New York State and in California. She enjoyed riding and training American Standard Bred horses and painting. She is survived by her husband James Oliver and four children: her son James J. Oliver, and 3 daughters: Sue Bozman of Hammondsport, NY , Kathleen Oliver of Hampstead N.C., Rosemary Bennett of Bath NY. She had 4 grand children and 4 great grandchildren. Interment will follow at the family lot in Smithfield.
