NORRIDGEWOCK - - Ruth E. Thomas, was born on May 5, 1937, in Pleasantville NJ to Rev. John Josephsen and Ida Helper She had three brothers Marvin, Wayne and Fred (Last surviving sibling).
She passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, in her home in Norridgewock, ME. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final moments that also included her pets--a testament to the deep bonds she forged throughout her life.
Ruth dedicated herself wholeheartedly to raising her four children: Harry Thomas and his wife Cathy of Vero Beach, Florida; Betty Bratcher and her husband Howard of Mays Landing, NJ; and Florence Hill with significant other Mark of Norridgewock, ME; and one son John Thomas who passed away of colon cancer on April 24th, 2005. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Jennifer, Anthony, John Robert, Amanda, Howard 3rd, Brittany, Kimona and Desiree - as well as thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, who will all carry forward the love she instilled in them.
Throughout her life's journey, it was marked by hard work and resilience. As a waitress and factory worker Ruth touched countless lives with kindness. Everyone who met Ruth felt an immediate connection because she had a unique ability to make people feel valued and loved. Her laughter could light up any room while offering comfort during difficult times. In recent years Ruth (mom) faced health challenges that tested both her spirit and strength but remained steadfastly devoted to everyone around her and to her Lord and Savior to the very end. Now she is reunited with her long-lost love in eternal peace alongside their Lord. We find solace knowing they are together again.
In true fashion Ruth would not want us to dwell solely on our grief but instead embrace joy; remembering how much she cherished life itself, always encouraging us towards happiness rather than mourning her loss! Let's keep alive every precious memory we have created together ensuring that mom's spirit remains vibrant within our hearts forevermore!
