Waterville: Sam Simon, beloved husband, father, stepfather, and grandfather passed away November 25, 2024, following a long illness. He was born June 21,1948 to the late Louis and Margaret (Labonte) Simon. Sam was a quiet man but loved spending time with his family especially at Christmas. Sam loved playing golf. He couldn't wait for the snow to melt and the ground to dry up so he could play with Ron and Reggie. On Monday afternoons, you could find him at the Elks Club playing pool with Rick and Bud. Sam was very fond of his friends. Sam will be deeply missed by his loving wife Linda Rowe, son Matthew, daughter Samantha and her husband Jason Evans, stepson Garrett Hunter, grandchildren Michael Evans, Alysa Evans and Evan Simon, and his little companion Annabell. The family would like to thank the team of Dr. Polkinghorn at the Alfond Cancer Center for the care and kindness they had given to Sam over the years and the team at the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the Maine Medical Center in Portland.
