Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas E. Jolicoeur II, who left us unexpectedly from a sudden illness on Monday, December 18, 2023. He was 46 years young. Tommy (Tom) was best known for his love of family, his dogs, and being outside as much as he could be. He was a diehard Jeep enthusiast and was always working on a project in his garage or lending a hand to a friend in need. Tommy was born on February 16, 1977, as the son of Thomas E. Jolicoeur and Marlene (Breton) Jolicoeur. He graduated Messalonskee High School in 1996, as well as Central Maine Community College in 1998, to pursue his career in Machine Tool mechanics. In 2021 Tom married Darcy York Chambers lakeside at his parent's home in Oakland. Together they lived in Clinton. He leaves behind his daughter Leah Jolicoeur and her mother Linda of Auburn, two step-sons Gabe & Jake York and one loving sister, Michelle Gosselin Ervin of Lewiston along with her husband Tim and sons Benjamin & Mathew Gosselin. His life was surrounded by family gatherings and lifelong friends who became family. Tom leaves a legacy of passion for everyone and everything he loved. He lived simply and humbly and had a smile that lit up any room. His presence will be greatly missed, but his memory will continue to shine for all who had the pleasure of knowing him . A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11 am at Notre Dame Parish in Waterville. A reception will follow in the church hall. Your Spirit By Tram-Tiara T. Von Reichenbach I know that no matter what, you will always be with me. When life separates us, I'll know it is only your soul saying goodbye to your body, but your spirit will be with me always. When I see a bird chirping on a nearby branch, I will know it is you singing to me. When a butterfly brushes gently by me so care freely, I will know it is you assuring me you are free from pain. When the gentle fragrance of a flower catches my attention, I will know it is you reminding me to appreciate the simple things in life. When the sun shining through my window awakens me, I will feel the warmth of your love. When I hear the rain pitter patter against my window sill, I will hear your words of wisdom and will remember what you taught me so well' That without rain trees cannot grow, Without rain flowers cannot bloom, Without life's challenges I cannot grow strong. When I look out to the sea, I will think of your endless love for your family. When I think of mountains, their majesty and magnificence, I will think of your courage for your country. No matter where I am your spirit will be beside me, for I know that no matter what, you will always be with me.
